Challenges Greystone’s Functional Plating Can Help Solve

Vertical Integration
for Consistent Quality

When machining and plating are handled by separate vendors, accountability can become unclear, often leading to delivery delays and quality issues.

Greystone has established a vertically integrated system that handles the entire process in-house, from machining through finishing. This eliminates handoff issues between processes and transportation wait times, reducing the coordination burden on quality assurance and production control teams.

Uniform Coating Thickness
with the PPS® System

In volume production runs of several hundred thousand to several million parts, processing large batches can cause coating thickness variation and increase the risk of defects reaching downstream operations.

Problems caused by uneven coating thickness can be resolved with the fully automated PPS® system. Because the system measures and controls individual parts in real time, it can automatically isolate nonconforming products. The system maintains uniformity with a process capability index (Cpk) of 2 or higher and helps prevent assembly defects caused by out-of-tolerance dimensions.

Meeting OEM Requirements
with IATF Certification

If Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers cannot meet the stringent quality requirements of vehicle OEMs, they risk losing repeat business.

Greystone is IATF 16949 certified at all of its global plants*. APQP-based management and automated inspection equipment help meet customer audit requirements. By meeting the 4 PPM defect-rate requirement, Greystone helps customers maintain their business relationships with vehicle OEMs.

When Is Greystone a Good Fit?

Greystone is well suited for companies that outsource machining and plating to separate vendors and are experiencing handoff issues between processes, delivery delays, or increased quality management workload. It can also support volume-production programs for automotive and commercial vehicle parts that require a stable supply of several hundred thousand to several million parts and compliance with IATF 16949.

This site introduces companies that offer functional plating services suited to a range of specific needs. We hope it helps you find the right partner.
